This Is the Mind-Made Realm

MASTER DA FREE JOHN: All I communicate to you is Blessing, Infinite Blessing for infinite years, infinite lifetimes. You, as poor as you are, as unprepared as you are, will experience Infinite Grace for infinite time just because you have entered into the Company of a Siddha. Your Enlightenment and your Sublimity is guaranteed. Why should this be guaranteed to someone without preparation? No one can account for it, no one whatsoever. Somehow, those who are thus arbitrarily Graced transmit the same Grace to other beings. That is why it has occurred in your case. It has not occurred because you are so great. Your qualities do not make any difference. It is simply that some must be chosen for the sake of others.

Your adventure is dictated from birth. From the first moment of conditional consciousness, you, like me, should have been motivated to sublime other beings, to make them Happy, to live them. You should have been motivated exactly like that. This has been my motivation from the first moment of consciousness in this life: to make beings Happy, to sublime them, to help them to transcend themselves. I have never been troubled by life in itself. It has always been a ridiculous kind of fleshy jiggling. There is nothing serious about life. It is merely a hallucination. It has always been obvious to me that life is just that. I have met everybody in their flesh, their minds, and their emotions. All my life I have done just this, seeming to take it seriously, but I have never taken it seriously. There is nothing but the Great One. All this is a hallucination. I Play with you, I instruct you, because you hallucinate and take it seriously, but I have never taken it seriously. Have no regrets about my involvement with you. Do not think you are punishing me. I will come and go.

Find the Existence Place. Find This. This Truth is about falling into the Well of Being, the Well of Life, the Well of Happiness without dependence on any form whatsoever. Depend on nothing whatsoever! Locate the great Well of Happiness. This is the first gesture. This is the first moment of spiritual life. All your concerns are merely about your un-Happiness, looking for Happiness outside yourselves. Happiness is right there where you stand, underfoot, at the Heart! It is right there where you are right now. Right there. It is Infinitely Full, and it is the Substance out of which all these appearances are made. All this is nothing but Bliss modified. Find this Bliss, locate this Well, imbibe It, become drunk with It, become Happy with It, become Free in that Infinite Place of Being, and then work out the practical arrangements of your life.

Sex may occur every now and then, but it is no big deal! It is like shaking hands or talking to one another. It is just nonsense. You people do not need one another. You do not need other persons. You do not need me in person, except in the Transcendental sense. All you need is God. All you need is the Well of Bliss. That is it! That is absolutely it.

We do not need sex. We do not need society. We do not need Nature. We do not need the universe. All of this is a modification, a distressful perturbation of the Well of Being. We do not need it. Surrounded by one another in this terrible place, we need nothing whatsoever.

My Word to you is not based on hearsay or reading of the traditions. It is based on my finding the Well in the desert, the Oasis at Infinity. None of this appearance is consequential to Enlightenment, none of it whatsoever. There is no Happiness in your flesh, in your self-possession, in your otherness, in your attachment to others. There is no Happiness in it whatsoever. You must find the Great Oasis, the Infinite Well of Happiness, and Be Happy. Be Happy now, Self-Radiant, absolutely glorious. This is what you must discover. Everything else you manufacture in your ordinariness is not That. It is merely part of the stress of being. It is part of the egoity of the crunch of un-Life.

There is an Infinite Well of Being, of Happiness, of Consciousness. We are immersed in It. That cool, free Water is unblemished, undosed with the chemicals of egoity, not stressed, not transformed, not modified, not limited in any sense whatsoever. We lie in that Well, inebriated, shouting Infinite Happiness of Being, without the slightest qualification. We lie there now, infinitely dead, and therefore infinitely Alive and Blissful, Radiant without qualification. Before and after the Big Bang and all times in between we are altogether fulfilled Where we Are. Here, we are struggling with one another, trying to figure ourselves out and mating with one another, exchanging communications and contracts. What an infinite mass of insanity! That is not it. It is not it at all. All this clinging to your relations is not it. Not it, my friends, Not it at all. Not it at all.

Imagine, if these relations were taken away, taken away completely, where would you stand? Where would you be? (Master Da mimics wailing protest.) My wife! My husband! You people are deluded! That is your present destiny, which has nothing to do with God, nothing to do with Truth at all. All the sorrows in your heart now, all the potential sorrows of the parting of beings, your death and the death of others, the separation from other beings, all this is deluding nonsense! (Master Da yells.) This is mind only! This is mind! This is mind only! MIND ONLY!! This is mind only. THIS! This is the bardo, the transition place. THIS! You people do not understand what the hell I am talking about.

DEVOTEES: Yes, we do.

MASTER DA FREE JOHN: No. This is a transition place. This is the mind-made realm! This is the yellow world! It is solid now, but a few years or days or hours from now, it will no longer be solid, just fluid. You will be screaming out at your visions after death. Do you want to do that? You need not do it. You could be completely free of this, now, just as you can be free of that after death. If you are not free of this now, you will not be free of that at death.

You cling foolishly to one another, because you are self-bound and do not understand what the hell is happening. You do not understand it, and you will not believe what you do understand. You will not be motivated, moved by what you understand. You want to live your ordinary TV life. It makes no difference what I do or show or say to you, you will carry on with your life.

If you would hear me, if you would see me, if you would understand, if you would practice, you would be totally free of what ? TOTALLY FREE OF ONE ANOTHER! ME! AND YOU! AND THAT ONE! ALL these ones. You would be completely, absolutely, and perfectly free of all relations. Because there are no relations. THERE ARE NO RELATIONS! (Shouting) NONE! NOT ONE!

You people do not believe what I am saying. You people all want to think something! You want to feel something! You want to be something, you want to do something! (Laughter.) This is what you are all about-mechanically thinking something, feeling something, being something, and doing something. That is what you are, and, therefore, that is what you think about, that is what moves you. In Truth, however, there is nothing to think, nothing to feel, nothing to be, and nothing to do. This is just an incredible, degraded hallucination.

It is one thing to tell you this, and another thing to show it to you and help you to realize it through showing you to yourself. That is all I have ever done. I have no bad intentions. I am not here to exploit you. I am not here to lay some philosophy on you! Miraculously, wondrously, I have been thrown into the sphere of Absoluteness. All I can do is tell you about It and try to combine with you in such a way that you will understand It. What it amounts to ultimately is that we Exist where we Are, right where we Are, where you Are. Where you are Being right now. That is It. That is the Well of God. Right there.

However, you want to think, you want to feel, you want to be, you want to do, and therefore you become complicated, you begin thinking, and emoting, suffering physically, and creating relationships. Then you are suddenly full of complications and questions. That is not it. That is just the mind. That is all it is, really. This is a hallucination. Whether you believe it or not, I can only confess to you my Realization. This is a hallucination.

THIS is a bardo, a transitional place, a hallucination. In other words, a transformation of mind. That is its status. That is what it really is. This appearance must first be understood. You must understand yourselves. You cannot merely listen to my Argument and believe it. All I can do is find ways for you to see what you are up to, and when you can understand that, observe yourselves and understand yourselves, and be placed on the naked surface of Reality, then this Argument simply makes sense. It is not trying to overwhelm you, it is not a doctrine. Either you recognize it or you do not.
