"To
understand more precisely the process of confirming the
solidity of I and other, that is, the development of ego, it
is helpful to be familiar with the five skandhas, a set of
Buddhist concepts which describe ego a five-step
process."
"The
reason such critical study is useful is that you already
have all kinds of inherited, thought-up, and propagandized
ideas that correspond to ideas that can be found in the
traditions. Thus, you can see how those ideas traditionally
get elaborated as a way of life, and you can see their
limitations."
"There seems to be quite a misconception as to the idea of
bardo, which is that it is purely connected with the death
and after-death experience. But the experience of the six
bardos is not concerned with the future alone; it also
concerns the present moment. Every step of experience, every
step of life, is bardo experience."
"A vessel of
happiness...a beautiful being who breathed the spiritual
force in such a way that it saturated his entire body." -
Adi Da Samraj
"The person that came
to be called Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar was born on December 1,
1918, along the banks of the Ganges in a village adjacent to
Kashi.."
"Both
the yogißvara and the rnal-'byor dbang-phyug are said
to be or likened to a dancer. In the one case the emphasis
is on the concrete person/god as a dancer, in the other case
the emphasis is on the whole's or, psychologically speaking,
the Self's dancing out its potential."
She is language; he is
thought -She is prudence; he is law -He is reason; she is
sense
"The
Aphorisms of Siva, or Siva Sutras (SS), are a late
reiteration of the Vedic view of consciousness."
"The
Vedas do not owe their authority to anybody, they are
themselves the authority, being eternal -- the knowledge of
God"
Tripura
Rahasya was considered by Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi as
one of the greatest works that expounded advaita
philosophy

Divine

"The
maha ati [Tib.: dzogchen], which is beyond
conceptions and transcends both grasping and letting go, is
the essence of transcendental insight. This is the
unchanging state of non meditation in which there is
awareness but no clinging. Understanding this, I pay
ceaseless homage to the maha ati with great
simplicity."
"There was another great being called Ranga
Avadhut.."
"What
more is there to say, but to advise one and all to read this
book and try to make it a part of themselves? Not one word
to be passed over lightly, or one conversation to be
dismissed as superfluous.''
Sadhu Arunachala, Major A. W. Chadwick
"Meher
Baba is but one example of a Spiritual Master who, along
with such others as Ramakrishna, Shirdi Sai Baba, Anandamayi
Ma, Paramahansa Yogananda, Swami Nityananda, and Ramana
Maharshi, is believed, by many, to be a Divine Avatar of the
modern era."
"The last of the Great
Strongmen (The Mighty Atom) returned in the person of Slim
"The Hammer Man" Farman."
"This
book is a unique document about a type of apparently
psychotic individual (called a "mast")"
1. Wealth without work....
Friday,
October 17, 1941 was a significant day in spiritual history.
Upasni Maharaj and Meher Baba met in a secluded hut at
Dahigaon
"A WANDERING SANYASI,
who was a recluse and an ascetic, once showed up at
Meherabad during this period. He had heard of Meher Baba and
wanted the Master's darshan.
"Sai
Baba moulded Upasani Mahraj into His own likeness and once
told him, "You must plant trees that will live for many
centuries - from which people will derive
benefit,"
"God-realization
is different from all other states of consciousness because
they are experienced through the medium of the individual
mind, whereas God-consciousness is not dependent upon the
individual mind." od
Change
in Dharma is the specified work of an Avatara and Lord Shri
Krishna has emphatically declared that He would incarnate
himself if and when Dharma is in chaos and needs
reform.
"In 1941 Sati Godavari
Mataji assumed the mantle of her Guru Shri Upasani Baba
Maharaj with the strength, simplicity and dignity of a
realized being"
The
Search for the Bull - The inspiration for this first step,
which is searching for the bull, is feeling that things are
not wholesome, something is lacking. That feeling of loss
produces pain. You are looking for whatever it is that will
make the situation right. You discover that ego's attempt to
create an ideal environment is unsatisfactory.
"We
have already described the physical form and size of the
heart in an earlier chapter. Here we have to show how the
lord of the five sheaths, Jivatman, the individual soul,
abides in the Bliss Sheath situated in the space of the
heart, the reservoir of blood"
"On
his arrival at the cave he saw a lustrous figure sitting in
a lotus pose and meditating. He had spread some earth on two
logs of wood and covered it with the bark of a tree, and was
sitting on that seat. His pose was quiet and absolutely
motionless"

is Jivatman, the individual soul which is concealed by the
combination of three bodies, to be realised...." that is the

"Ramana Maharshi was a
principal modern example of a Great Sage (or a true Realizer
of the Inherent Samadhi of Consciousness Itself) within the
(originally) Upanishadic tradition of Advaita
Vedanta"
The Chronicles of CTR

"..As
Hajicek-Dobberstein says, "Some contemporary non orthodox

Nagaijuna and Aryadeva, who agreed, We need to eat the

they can no longer 'Just say No."
"Maitri
